Audi R8 GT 2012 New Concept PowerFul

2012 Audi R8 GT

American car enthusiasts will finally get the opportunity to purchase one of the few Audi R8 GT available in the world. Revisions made on the Audi R8 GT base model, the Audi R8 GT’s usage of carbon fiber allows the super car to be 180 pounds lighter than the Audi R8 5.2 Quattro Coupe. Pushing on the speed equation further, engineers also tweaked an additional 35 horsepower out of the 5.2-liter V10 FSI engine. This translates to a performance of 0-62 mph with a time of only 3.6 seconds. Inspired by the new Audi R8 LMS GT3 with a starting price of $196,800, the Audi R8 GT will also include a range of exclusive interior and exterior options to convey the car’s exclusivity.

To distinguish one another, each unit’s production number will be etched on the special gearshift knob. Special works done on the exterior, such as special matte finishes and an exclusive colorway for the GT Samoa Orange, are all options to select from. Because of its limited nature, Audi executives can only allocate 90 of the 333 Audi R8 GT for US sale. If interested, please contact your local Audi dealers from more details.

The Audi R8 GT swaps in a thinner glass windshield and polycarbonate rear windows and replaces many aluminum body panels with carbon fiber. The only transmission is Audi’s single-clutch R tronic automated manual. Most noticeable is the new carbon-fiber rear wing. Along the sides, GT badges accompany the matte carbon sideblades and mirror caps, along with the beautiful 19-inch forged wheels covering carbon-ceramic brakes. Color choices are limited to Samoa Orange, Suzuka Gray, Ice Silver, and Phantom Black.

The key parts of the Audi R8 GT made from carbon fiber include the rear hatch, spoiler, and diffuser. The outside of the Audi R8 GT will have some touches to set it apart for the other versions of the R8. It will have matte finish grille, side blades, and other trim parts and it will be offered in an exclusive color called Samoa Orange. Inside the automobile exclusive touches for the GT include a white device cluster, black Alcantara seats, headliner, and other parts with contrasting stitching and doorsill inserts with the Audi R8 GT logo.

In 2012 Audi R8 GT receives significant exterior modifications aimed at enhancing its already stellar handling, and it is powered by a modified 5.2-liter V10 FSI engine that produces 560 horsepower (35 hp more than the R8 Coupe 5.2 quattro and the R8 Spyder 5.2 quattro). The 2012 R8 GT employs the R tronic sequential manual transmission. This pairing produces a top track speed of 199 mph, and a 0-62 mph time of 3.6 seconds. Overall, the Audi R8 GT will provide drivers with high lateral acceleration and a low center of gravity.
