2012 Lexus GS 350 And Lexus GS 460

The bold and elegant styling of the 2012 Lexus GS also enhances its aerodynamics. With a low 0.27 coefficient of drag, the sleek design cuts through the open air easily. A handsome front fascia, slingshot-shaped windows and wide stance with dual exhaust reveal the athlete inside. Standard on the Lexus GS 460 and available on the GS 350 are 18 x 8.0-inch five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped with 245/40ZR18 tires. The Lexus GS 350 has 17 x 7.5 inch seven-spoke alloy wheels and 225/50VR17 tires as standard equipment. In addition to providing a more sporty appearance, these lightweight wheels and performance tires help provide quicker steering response and more precise handling. This advanced Smart Access system detects the key fob transmitter in your pocket or handbag, lighting the entry path and unlocking the doors or trunk lid the moment you touch their handles. Once inside, you can start the engine simply by pressing the push-start button. The key fob also includes lock and unlock buttons, a button that opens the trunk and another that sounds the alarm. As an added convenience, you can open all the windows remotely by simply holding down the unlock button as you approach.

Both the 2012 Lexus GS 350 and 2012 Lexus GS 460 are equipped with dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i), which improves efficiency and acceleration. The system continuously monitors the engine's speed and load and then responds by adjusting the intake and exhaust valves to deliver optimum power and efficiency at any speed. The GS 460 also includes an Electronic intake valve control feature (VVT-iE), which improves responsiveness for all temperature conditions. This advanced transmission has additional gears to match the optimal engine speed to road and driving conditions. This provides smoother shifting, better acceleration response and enhanced fuel efficiency. For those who desire a bit more control, the sequential-shift feature allows the driver to quickly shift gears by simply nudging the gear shift forward or backward.

The Electronically Controlled Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i), provides the Lexus GS 350 enhanced fuel efficiency, smoother shift feel and better acceleration response. The ECT-i transmission learns your acceleration habits and adjusts the shifting timing accordingly. The sequential-shifting feature allows for a more interactive driving experience by allowing the driver to simply nudge the gearshift forward or backward to change gears. Standard on the Lexus GS 460 and available on GS 350 models, this advanced suspension system offers you the choice between a Normal or Sport setting. The system automatically senses the character of the road and constantly monitors your steering and braking movements, and then adjusts the shock absorbers to maintain your selected comfort or performance level. It also works in conjunction with the Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management (VDIM) system to help enhance control.

The new Lexus GS with Interior stainless-steel scuff plates on the door sills welcome you upon entering the cabin. Leather trim on the seats and doors enhance the luxurious feel inside the cabin. And depending on your interior color choice, the wood trim comes in either golden bird's-eye maple, dark gray bird's-eye maple or red walnut. A matching wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel and shift knob are standard on the 2012 GS 460 and available on 2012 GS 350 models.  In addition to offering separate temperature controls for the driver and front passenger, the system maintains the desired temperature and automatically manages airflow within the cabin. It also features an air filter with an automatic recirculation mode. A smog-sensing, automatic recirculation system continually monitors outside air for pollutants. If the levels rise above your pre-set limit, the exterior air intake will close and recirculate the cleaner air inside the cabin.

Lexus GS 350 and Lexus GS 460 audio feature with 14 speakers, a 7.1-channel architecture and 330 watts at less than 0.1% THD, 20–20,000 Hz of maximum power, the available Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound Audio System delivers an unparalleled listening experience. The speaker layout was designed to complement the acoustics of the vehicle interior. While available XM Radio offers diverse and commercial-free music programming, available XM NavTraffic can provide real-time traffic reports on specific highways or routes and reroute you around congestion. Available XMNavWeather can give real-time weather reports for specific cities and even automatically alert you of severe weather. To find out more about XM Radio.
