2012 Toyota Rav4 Review Pictures and Video

With a stainless steel exhaust tip and a unique rear door that we’ve streamlined by removing the spare tire cover, the 2012 Toyota RAV4 Sport with the available Appearance Package1 is no ordinary RAV4. Inside, sharp touches, such as a chrome-accented shift lever with leather inlay, further distinguish this performance-inspired SUV. The outside mirrors not only help you locate adjacent vehicles, but also help indicate your intentions to other drivers. These handsome doorsill covers, along with floor mats featuring a unique sport design, ensure a stylish entrance and exit every time. The 2012 RAV4 comes standard with the Star Safety System, a collection of six advanced safety features designed to help keep drivers out of harm’s way. Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. (TMS) debuted today the second-generation Toyota RAV4 EV at a news conference at the Los Angeles Auto Show. A total of 35 vehicles will be built for a demonstration and evaluation program through 2011, aiming at market arrival of a fully-engineered vehicle in 2012. The fully-engineered vehicle will have a target range of 100 miles in actual road driving patterns, in a wide range of climates and conditions. The RAV4 features a lithium metal oxide battery which has an energy storage capacity "in the mid-30 kwh range." The company declined to release detailed information, but the Tesla-sourced electric motor (presumably the 215 kW one from the Roadster) will enable the crossover to travel up to 100 miles (161 km) on a single charge. Furthermore, Toyota stated the EV weighs 220 pounds (100 kg) more than the RAV4 V6 and will accelerate from 0-60 mph almost as fast. Red More
